Opera

The Opera IT platform covers all providers and episodes of care including records, referrals and collaboration.

Primary Eyecare has selected Opera as our single IT platform encompassing a range of functionality and capability. It will enable greater collaboration between primary care optical practices and hospital eye services by integrating access to NHS systems into a single easy-to-use platform.

Primary Eyecare and all partner organisations are currently transitioning to the new platform. The MECS service launched on 14 December 2020, with Pre-and Post-Cataract services going live w/c 25 January 2021 and Glaucoma services to follow by the end of February 2021.

There are a number of important actions required by partner organisations to ensure a smooth transition.
