A patient-centred evaluation of Community Glaucoma Services

This patient-centred study evaluates Community Glaucoma Services delivered across NHS settings in England, showing how community-based care can safely support patients closer to home. Most patients (88.7%) remained under community review, with only a small proportion requiring referral back to hospital care, demonstrating strong clinical effectiveness. Patients also reported excellent experiences, with 99.8% saying they would recommend the services, highlighting its accessibility, convenience and positive impact on both patients and wider NHS.
