Service Updates

It has been a busy quarter for our Service team, who are responsible for implementing new services across England.
We are pleased to share the most recent services to be mobilised are as follows:
- Lancashire & South Cumbria – Community Urgent Eyecare Services, Glaucoma Referral Refinement, Post-Cataract, Glaucoma Enhanced Case Finding, Adult Low Vision Service
- Cheshire & Merseyside – Referral Management Single Point of Access (SPoA)
- North Central London – Glaucoma Referral Refinement, Pre-Cataract, Post-Cataract and Community Eye Care Service
Additionally, Primary Eyecare Services are delighted to announce that following a successful tender submission, we have been awarded a 3-year contract for provision of Optometry Led Community Eye Care Services by NHS North-West London Integrated Care Board (ICB).
The contract will commence during the Autumn and carries an optional 24-month extension period at the end of the 3-year term.
The key services included within the contract are a Cataract Pre Referral Assessment, Glaucoma Referral Filtering and the Community Eye Service (CES).
