The chairman of Primary Eyecare Services (PES), Mike Fegan, has announced his plans to leave the role as part of his plans towards retirement at the end of his term in April 2022.

Mike has been integral to the development of PES as it has grown rapidly over recent years, ensuring leadership and financial stewardship of the board and organisation.

PES Chief Executive, Dharmesh Patel, said:

“It is with mixed emotions that we share news of Mike Fegan’s retirement plans. We have benefited from his depth of experience and expertise, especially over the challenging COVID period. We wish him the very best with his plans in this next phase.”

Mike was appointed in early 2019. During his career as a Finance Director, he has held roles at ITV, Granada, Forte and the Football Association. He’s a lay member of the AOP and serves as chair for the Local Optical Committee Support Unit.

PES has now begun recruiting for a new chair for the board of directors.
