Clinical Lead, West Essex, Norfolk and Waveney

I am a qualified optometrist with over 20 years of experience. During my career I have expanded my clinical skills through a Masters degree in Clinical Optometry, Independent Prescribing training, professional certification in Glaucoma, Medical Retina and Paediatric Eye Care. I have also been an Optometric Advisor for the College of Optometrists and worked in a variety of settings including Primary Care, Secondary Care and with Independent Sector Providers.

My career reflects a desire to see care pathways that allow greater collaboration between primary and secondary care, utilising skills of professionals throughout the pathway, enabling patients to receive the right care, at the right time and in the right setting. My current role as a Clinical Lead for Primary Eyecare Services allows me to support practices and commissioners in achieving these goals.

Alongside my Primary Eyecare Services’ role, I work as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner within an NHS Trust, I continue to see patients within high street optometry and am an active member of my LOC.
