Clinical Lead, Humber, North and West Yorkshire

I am a Joint Clinical Lead for Humber, North and West Yorkshire as well as North and North East Lincolnshire – working alongside Naomi Smith. In 2007, I qualified as an Optometrist, and I have been with Primary Eyecare Services for 2.5 years previously as a Telemedicine Optometrist.

Alongside my work for Primary Eyecare Services, I work for two hospitals supporting the diabetic eye screening service as a secondary grader and assessor for the Level 3 Diploma for Health Screeners, and the Medical Retina Wet AMD Rapid Access Service where I triage referrals and provide failsafe.

My previous hospital eye service work was based in Adult Refraction and Low Vision clinicals, as well as Medical Retina and Glaucoma Clinics having passed my Higher Certificate in Glaucoma in 2024.

Prior experience includes working as a resident and locum optometrist in a variety of high street practices, before specialising in more hospital-based optometry.
