Clinical Lead, North West

I am the joint Clinical Lead for Primary Eyecare Services, covering the 19 localities within Greater Manchester, Cheshire and Merseyside since 2021. I’m an Optometrist with ~15 years experience in multiple and independent practice. Over 10 of these have been involved in delivering enhanced optical services. I have a special interest in practitioner education (from university to long term qualified), patient experience and urgent eye care services.

I am a member of Greater Manchester East Local Optical Committee serving as Education Officer and I am also a member of the Greater Manchester Optometry Provider Board where I represent primary care optometry in various system groups. In October 2023 I became the chair for The Confederation of GM LOCs, allowing me to continue close working and collaboration with LOC Chairs across the North West region.

My role within Primary Eyecare Services gives me the privilege of working with many passionate and skilled practitioners and practice teams across our patch in the North West. Close working, reporting and auditing allows us all to ensure we are delivering high quality services in optometry practice delivering care closer to home with high patient satisfaction and care.
